Bundestagspräsident Norbert Lammert [sueddeutsche.de] (CDU) bezweifelt, dass die Regierungen von Bund und Ländern eine Abschaltung von Atomkraftwerken ohne Zustimmung des Bundestages beschließen dürfen. "Ich lasse prüfen, ob es dazu weiterer korrigierender gesetzlicher Regelungen bedarf", sagte Lammert der Berliner Zeitung. Bereits in der Sitzung der CDU/CSU-Bundestagsfraktion an diesem Dienstag hatten er und der Vorsitzende des Rechtsausschusses, Siegfried Kauder (beide CDU), nach dpa-Informationen rechtliche Bedenken geäußert.
Im Fall des Atomausstiegs hat Lammert zumindest einen Unterstützer: Der Vorsitzende des Rechtsausschusses, Siegfried Kauder (CDU), hatte auch bereits in der Sitzung der CDU/CSU-Bundestagsfraktion am Dienstag rechtliche Bedenken geäußert.
Kauder unterstrich, die vollziehende Gewalt sei nach dem Grundgesetz an Recht und Gesetz gebunden. Bei aller verständlichen Eile müsse der Kurswechsel in der Atompolitik rechtsstaatlich sauber vollzogen werden, mahnte er. Den Weg der Bundesregierung, sämtliche Maßnahmen auf eine Notsituation im Sinne des Atomgesetzes zu stützen, hält Kauder für eine Sackgasse.
„Die betroffene Vorschrift setzt entweder eine konkrete Strahlengefahr für die Bevölkerung oder einen Verstoß der Kraftwerksbetreiber gegen rechtliche Vorgaben voraus." Beides treffe nicht zu.

Auf Seite zwei: Jetzt hilft nur mehr Beten. In Zeiten wie diesen, in denen bislang kollektive Verbundenheit, Mitgefühl und Demut vor dem Altar politischer Korrektheit, Konsumdenken und purem Materialismus geopfert wurden, ein für gläubige Menschen erstes - zwar spätes, aber durchaus begrüßenswertes Signal der Einsicht versus menschlichem Überheblichkeitsdenken.

Extremely serious levels of radiation have escaped. Dangerously high doses of radiation have been detected in or near the compounds of the quake-hit Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant in Fukushima Prefecture.
Japan's worsening nuclear crisis will now be compared to the Chernobyl disaster in the former Soviet Union in 1986.
The Fukushima plant has six reactors. Of them, the No. 2 reactor has begun to release radioactive substances as the suppression pool connected to the reactor containment vessel was apparently damaged.

Meine Interpretaion des Bildes:
Eine junge Frau, die entsetzt die Hände vor das Gesicht hält. Sie könnte zu den weniger als 1% Christen gehören und so beten; aber das ist nicht wahrscheinlich (also Shinto plus Gesichtsausdruck plus Augenstellung, der müsste nach unten gehen, passen nicht zu der Interpretation, dass sie betet).
Dass der Glaube in diesen Stunden eine Stütze sein kann ist dabei unbestritten.

Concern over a possible radioactive hazard from Japan's damaged Fukushima nuclear power plant has prompted a formal warning from airspace monitors.
London Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre has issued a nuclear emergency message covering 10 flight information regions.
Among them are airspace zones in China, Korea, Russia and the USA.
The emergency message is timed at 03:00UTC on 15 March, and is open-ended.
It identifies the affected flight information regions as Fukuoka - the extensive region which encompasses Japanese airspace - plus Manila, Taibei, Shanghai, Incheon, Pyongyang, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and Anchorage.
The message features in an operational update from the Eurocontrol Central Flow Management Unit.
London VAAC handles advisories linked to the threat of volcanic eruption and was heavily involved in co-ordination efforts during the Icelandic ash crisis last year.
